In the video above, Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme says, "The last game I played wasn't too darned good," referring to his turnover-filled performance against the Cardinals in the playoffs. Jake is a good guy and a classy guy, and he sounds revved up to avenge that
game. He always has been a fighter.
Delhomme also said teammate Julius Peppers, who let it be known he didn't want to play for the Panthers, then signed a one-year, $16 million contract, is not resented by the team. "The guys didn't give it a second thought," Delhomme said.
Fun to see the Charlotweetans light up when I sent out Jake's quotes. He is still extremely popular, and with good reason. A great guy. Looked rested and poised.
Peppers navy Maserati might've been the coolest car at camp. Fun to see what guys pulled up
in. Linebacker Na'il Diggs' had the biggest vehicle. His massive Ford truck looked like a tractor trailer. "How's the mileage?" I asked him. He laughed. "Terrible."
Cadillac Escalades and Mercedes SUVs were popular. But DeAngelo Williams seemed to be having the most fun with a vehicle: A little yellow motor scooter he zipped around on.

Uh, the name is "Jake", not "Jeff" and if you can't even get THAT right, the rest of your opinion becomes meaningless.
No $hit! I spent good money to watch a "football game." That game does not even imitate a football game! I could do just as well, and would be happy with $9,000. South Meck. would have made for a better game!

Jake seems, like a cool guy to hang out with, and I guess its very "classy" the way he fessed up to sukking in the Cardinals game....BUT, he just is not going to get it done for the Panthers. he can win a playoff game or maybe two, but he will not be good enough to get to the superbowl, let alone win the superbowl. he may be the best we have, but that doesn't mean he's good.
ReplyDeletesay what you will about jake, but there is one things that no one can deny...he feeds the beast (smitty)- the two of them have damn good chemistry, period. Also, did anyone else realize that in 2004 Moose lead the leaugue in receiving after smitty broke his leg, then when on to shy-town and was very average at best. Then, he came back last year and had better numbers than any year he had in chicago??
